The games listed below not only include those playable on the show floor, but any game referenced at the show. Other noteworthy titles included Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Neverwinter Nights, Diablo II, Warcraft III, Tekken Tag Tournament, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Chrono Cross, and a little game called Halo for the PC and Mac. Nintendo turned heads with Conker's Bad Fur Day, which shown in a part of their booth that consisted of an open bar and I.D. It was the talk of the show and had everyone stunned. The overwhelming hot topic of E3 2000 was the Metal Gear Solid 2 presentation on the video wall at Konami's booth. Microsoft had a large theater set up in their booth where attendees could get a glimpse at the raw power of the new console.

And then there was Microsoft, announcing that they too would be joining the console party by releasing the Xbox in 2001. Nintendo discussed their future with the GameCube, announcing it would release in the Fall of 2001. Sony had just released the PlayStation 2 in Japan and brought a parade of titles to show to the western audience. The Dreamcast was in full swing, allbeit without the support of Electronic Arts. E3 2000 was the largest show thus far in many respects.
